I recently connected with Megan Wilson of Ghergich & Co. who provided the updated changes to our traditional take on company performance reviews. She has this to share:

Have you ever had a job where you haven’t had a performance review? Of course not: They’re as ingrained as the 9-to-5 workday, it seems. But do workplace reviews do much to change actual performance? Or is there a better way to give employees constructive feedback.

Yes, is the resounding answer: You can use performance reviews—the new kind, of course—to help develop skills, empathy, and attitude. In turn, those new performance reviews will help to boost your customer engagement and your bottom line. There are some good metrics to use, of course, but there are other strategies to take.
